Healing and Divine HealthExcerpts taken from Chapter one, "Instant Healing" of "Healing and Divine Health Through the Word and Nutrition" by Irene Rundell. We had started to attend Full Gospel Businessman meetings. One night when they had people come forward to be healed, I went up for prayer. I had high blood pressure and was on medication. The Lord healed me there. When I went to the doctor the next day without taking any medication, my blood pressure was perfect. I told him what had happened and that I would no longer be taking medication. He tried to encourage me to continue the medication for a while, but I didn't. To me, my blood pressure was healed. I never have been bothered since. I know now I didn't do the wisest thing by going off my medicine cold turkey, but then I didn't know.I have received many healings by the laying on of hands, or anointing with oil. I'm like my Pastor, who says he doesn't care how the Lord chooses to heal, but that we receive. God does not heal the same each time. We know that Jesus didn't heal the same everytime He ministered healing. When we moved to St Joseph, Mo., many times I had to be prayed for before I went to work. Even though I believed in healing and knew I had the same power and authority as the one I asked to pray for me, I usually asked for someone else to pray for me. I finally found out why I got so weak and my sinus kept draining and my nose stuffed. I had cried out to the Lord to find out the problem. One night at a nutrition meeting we had a Chiropractor speak. He impressed me with his knowledge. I went to see him and found out I was weak because my adrenal glands weren't working. We tested some foods by muscle testing and found out I was allergic to many foods. Muscle testing is done by putting food under your tongue. If you are allergic to it, when someone pushes on your arm, it will be weak. If you aren't allergic, it will be strong. Each week I brought more food, vitamins and products that I was taking for allergy testing. I was allergic to all of them. After being off certain foods for awhile I could gradually go back to eating them. Seven years ago when we moved to Oklahoma, I still had food allergies. When I had lived in St. Joseph, in order to get strength to work, I had to go to the chiropractor. The allergies affected my immune system so much that I had no energy. When we moved here I developed more allergies. My work required me to work in a smoking area. New geographical areas have different products grown locally and even different honeys. I had no one to test me here to find out what new allergies affected me. I could go to someone's house and even eat a different ketchup and start to have problems. The night before the Lord healed me completely, I was in our church service, feeling awful. I never stayed home from church. I was prayed for four times. Each time I got better but in a little while it began to bother me again. I kept crying out to God for answers. The Bible became my source of answers. It says in Mt. 7:7.-8, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." "Ask" means, according to Strong's # 154: aiteo, ahee-teh'-o; of uncert. der.; to ask (in gen.):--ask, beg, call for, crave, desire, require. Comp. G4441. Mt. 21:22, "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." I didn't get my answer that night. But it didn't stop me from asking again. I wanted to know if I had done anything wrong, whether I was not doing something He wanted me to do to receive my healing. The next night we, that is, our pastor, Gary Parson, Dick, my husband, and myself, went to Jones, Oklahoma (approximately 120 miles) to attend church. On the way I got so sick to my stomach and felt if the car didn't stop, I didn't know if I could make it. Gary and Dick prayed but nothing happened. We finally arrived at the pastor's house. Five saints of God looked at me. I was as white as a sheet and felt so sick. They started to pray for me. Nothing happened. I went and lay down while the rest of them had a great meal. By the time we were ready for church I felt like drinking a cup of tea. When we got to the church they asked me to testify. Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit I said, "I'm healed and I'm staying that way." I have not been bothered with allergies again. False symptoms tried to come a few times but I refused them because I knew I was healed. Praise the Lord. God had healed me; He had given me a miracle. Several people who have heard my testimony on the healing of my allergies have received their own healing and now walk free of them. This too is a miracle of healing. At another time I was instantly healed of dizziness vertigo. I had had a problem with it in St. Joseph and had to be hospitalized. Then we were at a meeting in Texas and it came back again. My husband Dick had to lead me to get dressed and then to the car. He had to lead me into the meeting. Gary, our Pastor, was there and the word came that if I would praise the Lord for healing me, that I would be healed. I praised Him and was healed instantly. Sometimes I forget to praise but I have walked free of it for a year. God truly does heal miraculously. Ps. 150:6, "Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD." Walking out Healing I had been writing for the Lord for three years. When we moved to Haskell, our Pastor Gary Parson, taught us that we must have two or three witnesses from the Word. There must be some from the Old and some from the New Testament. I had learned to take the Scriptures and to search into their meaning and I had studied the Scriptures concerning healing. It's been the desire of my heart to know why everyone is not healed when we pray for them. I know the Lord heals because the Scriptures proclaim healing and I have been healed. I believe the Lord sometimes heals instantly to give us the faith to walk out other healings. The woman who touched the hem of His garment was healed instantly. (Math.9:22) I guess I was surprised when the Lord told me, during my time of meditating with Him, to take off my glasses and my sun glasses and not to use them, another miraculous healing.. The Lord also told me not to go to the chiropractor for my back. Many times at work, when I pushed the coffee cart in pain, I wanted to go to a chiropractor. But I knew I would pay out my money and be no better, so I walked it out until the Lord healed me. I'm a positive person, so my customers didn't know I was walking in pain as I served them their coffee and tea. My answer when asked, "How are you today?", was always "Super". I believe that what you confess with your mouth is what you get (Pro. 18:21). I confessed the positive all day and by the time I left from work I was feeling super. I just kept my faith in the healing power of Jesus. After eight years, I have retired from working at Luby's. My boss told me that the word "super" retired with me. As I was walking out the healing on my back, I remembered a preacher who taught that praise is the answer. So instead of griping and complaining, you praise the Lord. Use your faith and trust. The healing of my eyes took three years for full manifestation. I started using a big print bible and kept progressing to smaller print as my eyes improved. I never cheated by wearing my regular glasses or sunglasses. Previously I never went any place without my sunglasses. Now I was determined that I was going to walk out the healing of my eyes. I didn't know the journey would take three years to complete. Some healings are not instant; that is why you must have faith. Return to: |
